Anna-Kaisa anchors her musical practice in an interdisciplinary approach. She enjoys combining different musical styles and incorporating other media and performative elements into her creations, such as texts, videos, and more. Her projects often evolve through encounters between musical languages, notably early music and experimental or improvised music. She is a member of the improvisation and experimentation ensembles InsubMetaOrchestra and Unorthodox Jukebox Large Ensemble, and regularly performs with other groups active on the experimental scene. She studied early music and free improvisation at the Basel Academy of Music and completed coursework in gender studies and theology at the University of Basel.
