Born in 1991, lives and works in Toulouse.

Bonella Holloway works with video, text, and performance to question the normative structures of our linguistic, behavioral, psychological, sexual, and gendered systems. They relentlessly seek to de-hierarchize differential values between one thing and another. They create analogies that make it possible to analyze the workings of everyday details and to laugh at their absurdity. Doubt and accidents occupy a central place, awkwardly framed by rhythm and repetition.

After graduating from art school in 2014, their research took them to Oaxaca, New York, and Leipzig. In 2020, they undertook a residency at Vidéoformes in Clermont-Ferrand, where they developed the video installation Synapses, exhibited at Les Abattoirs, Frac Occitanie, in December 2021. Their installation Beyond Pink and Green will be exhibited at the Chapelle des Carmélites in Toulouse in spring 2026.

They came to music through their love of karaoke and various sound projects in collaboration with other artists, including their meeting with Juliette Pym in 2022.
