emilie škrijelj & tom malmendier | tropism

The electric duo Emilie Škrijelj / Tom Malmendier continues to draw new landscapes with their second album "Tropism" on Carton Records.

A turntable, a battery, for a voluble and wild music, like the first track "Pua Pii", flower from the Marquesas Islands which sticks and hangs thanks to its hook-shaped edges. Playful and mischievous also like the song "Patoko Mata", a grass that islanders, children, put in their eyes to keep them wide open.

The furrows strike electrified skins, an abstract language where percussions and electronics intermingle, like a dance on embers.
