Experimental Beats Improvisation Avant-garde
we are sitting at a round table
on which stands a bottle draped in the wax
of numerous melted candles like a sheet ghost
and we talk about all the ways our civilization
might vanish in the near future;
outside, the rain is finally falling, and in the bar,
our eclectic group sits dancing an exorcism
of various terrors, savoring—without saying it—
the joy of our polycollision
